November 21, 2023 – A known street racer has been charged with felony vandalism after allegedly facilitating an unsanctioned meetup earlier this year on Airpark Center Drive East that caused more than $100,000 in damages. Austin Scott, 25, of Murfreesboro was arrested by THP in Rutherford County on the outstanding warrant after being identified as a suspected lead organizer for Night Riderz.

He was booked into the Metro jail Thursday on a $35,000 bond and was released on Saturday.

He was previously arrested in August on 15 charges, including rioting, inciting a riot and reckless driving.

The MNPD Traffic Division is committed to continuing its investigations into street racer groups that are causing damage and harm through their dangerous driving.

  1. He has already been released. whoever bails these dangerous people out should be held responsible for their future acts of crime.

  2. Totally agree. The parents or whomever bailed the individual put should also be responsible for paying the $100k in damages. If should not be left up to taxpayers.
