The Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department water rescue team rescued a dog stranded in the West Fork Stones River off Warrior Drive behind Costco on Tuesday, Dec. 30.
Fire crews arrived shortly before 2 p.m. and found the dog stranded in a few feet of water. Rescue 4’s water rescue team was able to get the dog out of the water and walked it to safety.
The dog has been turned over to Rutherford County Animal Welfare Services (PAWS).
