Four Persons Arrested on Indictments in Connection with the Blocking of I-24 in February

The Tennessee Highway Patrol and the MNPD announced that four persons have been arrested on Davidson County Grand Jury indictments related to the unlawful blocking of I-24 with vehicles near the Davidson-Rutherford County line on the night of February 9.

The vehicles blocking the interstate were being driven recklessly and engaging in stunts.

Three of the four persons indicted are facing felony reckless endangerment charges as well as misdemeanor reckless driving counts. They are identified as:

  • Anderson Ellis, 25, of Antioch;
  • Ricky Hawn, 19, of Smyrna;
  • Aamad Hussein, 22, of Antioch.

A fourth defendant, Caitlyn Estes, 21, of Smyrna, is facing a misdemeanor charge of being on a controlled access thoroughfare without a motor vehicle.

This investigation was led by the Tennessee Highway Patrol with assistance from the MNPD Traffic Division and Crime Stoppers. A number of tips were received by Crime Stoppers as the investigation evolved.
