Interim Tennessee head coach, Brady Hoke announced Wednesday morning on 104.5 The Zone that junior wide receiver, Jauan Jennings, has been dismissed from the team. The decision came after Hoke consulted with Tennessee’s athletic director, John Currie.

The reason for Jennings dismissal stems from a profanity laden rant the Vol wide-out went on Wednesday morning on his Instagram account. When Hoke was asked why the choice was made he responded saying, “Representing the University of Tennessee is a privilege.”

Jennings, who has not played all season due to an injury he sustained in Tennessee’s opener, just had his cast removed and hoped to suit up against in state rival, Vanderbilt this Saturday. If Jennings has indeed played his last snap for the Big Orange, he will undoubtedly go down in UT history for his hail mary reception last season that beat the Georgia Bulldogs at the final whistle.
