The Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department’s (MFRD) Swiftwater Rescue teams are featured in the January 2016 episode of “Murfreesboro Storytellers.” It follows the MFRD teams’ October 2015 deployment to respond to victims of flooding in South Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Joaquin.

On October 15, 2015, the teams were recognized for their service by Mayor Shane McFarland during a meeting of the City Council.

This month’s Storytellers was recorded on location at Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department’s  Station 7 located on North Thompson Lane.
