The Smyrna Town Council is considering an ordinance regarding the housing of chickens within the Town limits.
The ordinance (which can be read in it’s entirety here) allows for a $50 chicken housing permit. Included in the parameters of the ordinance are :
- No roosters.
- No onsite slaughter
- Feed storage guidelines
- Parameters on the type of hen housing provided.
