Dr. Leah Connors Banker Joins ‘Boro Saint Thomas Health

Dr. Leah Connors Banker has joined Saint Thomas Medical Partners (STMP) Saint Louise Clinic in Murfreesboro. Dr. Banker is a board-certified family practice physician. Saint Thomas Health is part of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and non-profit health system.

Dr. Banker received her M.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN, in 2010, and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL, in 2004. She completed a Maternal Child Health Fellowship in Fort Worth, TX, in 2014, and a John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency in Ft. Worth in 2013. Dr. Banker grew up in Nashville, having graduated from Father Ryan High School in 2000.

Dr. Banker’s medical practice is a full spectrum, traditional model of Family Medicine, including
adult medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics/prenatal care. In her career, she has worked as a Hospitalist and as a Registered Nurse with experience in trauma and ICU care. Dr. Banker speaks Spanish and has worked as a teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL). She has participated in service trips to Uganda, Honduras, Argentina, Guatemala and Belize, and helped build the country’s first children’s HIV/AIDS clinic in Belize.
