La Vergne Fire Rescue worked a residential structure fire on Quail Drive Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire and smoke in the garage.
No injuries were reported but the home has been determined a total loss. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
The fire is still under investigation.
