A woman was injured in a car accident on Saturday that knocked out power in the surrounding areas in Murfreesboro.
This crash occurred on the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at approximately 8:40 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
According to the Murfreesboro Police who responded to the accident, the driver allegedly suffered a medical emergency causing her to lose control of her vehicle and crash into the utility pole. The driver’s van was the only vehicle involved in this accident.
The driver suffered very light injuries. As a precaution, she was transported to the hospital for observation. There were no other people involved in the accident.
The accident knocked out power to the residents in the local community. Electricians from Middle Tennessee Electric restored service after replacing the shattered utility pole.
