Ronald “Ronnie” Winton, Sr. – Age 71 of Smyrna, TN. July 24, 2026.
Ronnie was a longtime employee of Metropolitan Nashville Government Radio Shop. He was a dedicated employee that was loved by so many. Following his retirement, Ronnie worked for several more years at Comprehensive Security and later for Tennessee Security & Patrol until his passing.
Ronnie was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He spent his free time coaching Little League baseball with his two sons and later coached adult softball as they grew older.
As a devoted Papa, the most important thing to him was spending time with his grandchildren. Whether it be attending dance and cheer competitions, Friday night football games for his three granddaughters, pitching baseball with his grandson or teaching him how to drive his new golf cart, Ronnie cherished every moment with them.
Ronnie leaves behind a loving mother, Margaret Winton; brother, Robert Wilkerson; and his wife, Wanda, of 51 years. He is also survived by two sons, Wayne and Josh; his four grandchildren, Kaylea, Kamryn, Kyndal, and Jaxon; and his daughter-in-law, Melissa, who has been like a daughter to him since she was 15 years old.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road.
