The Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD), in partnership with the City of Murfreesboro Parks & Recreation Department, invites the community to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, with a free, family-friendly event at Patterson Park Community Center, 521 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong partnerships between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve while fostering a sense of community.
The event will feature a Touch-A-Truck experience, games, music, food, and a variety of activities for all ages. Residents will have the opportunity to meet Murfreesboro police officers, interact with first responders, and learn more about the department in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to meet the officers who serve their neighborhoods and enjoy a fun evening together,” said Lt. Jason Higgins, event coordinator. “National Night Out is about building relationships, strengthening trust, and bringing our community together.”
