Here are our picks for Rutherford County Player of the Week in what was a banner week for offensive output.

Alex Bannister, quarterback, Smyrna

Bannister hit 13-of-15 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns, as Smyrna beat Blackman 42-14.

Cordel Braxton, running back, Blackman

Braxton starred in Blackman’s 61-0 rout of Warren County on Friday. Filling in for the injured Master Teague, Braxton ran 11 times for 171 times and five touchdowns.

Jeron Rooks, running back, Oakland

Oakland’s Jeron Rooks had seven touches in the Patriots’ 41-9 win over Coffee County, and he made the most of them. Rooks had six carries for 100 yards, including touchdown runs of 23 and 42, and another catch for a 57-yard score. Oakland stays undefeated at 7-0. He’s posted his latest highlights on his Hudl page here.

Savion Davis, running back, Riverdale

HS Football Week 4: Rutherford County Players of the Week

Davis had both terrific numbers, as well as the play of the game, in Friday’s last-second win for Riverdale. Davis carried 26 times for 193 yards and two touchdowns, but it was the 56-yard touchdown catch on a tipped ball that was his biggest contribution. Riverdale improved to 6-1 with a 30-20 win over Cookeville. Davis has posted highlights from the game on his Hudl page.

Kemari McGowan, running back, Middle Tennessee Christian

Siegel's Lelan Wilhoite Unstoppable Again on Friday
Middle Tennessee Christian running back Kemari McGowan had another great game on Friday.

McGowan had the game of a lifetime last Friday. The MTCS star ran 30 times for an incredible 405 yards and seven touchdowns, as the Cougars routed Donelson Christian, 60-35.
