Murfreesboro, TN – Murfreesboro-based hunger relief organization Feed America First
invites the community to their warehouse on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 beginning at 5:30 p.m. where they will be unveiling the new mural that was donated to them by the local Iron Brush Mural Company. The Slick Pig food truck will be on site, as well as complimentary dessert and ice cream, as they celebrate this fun new addition to their warehouse.
Founded almost 3 years ago, The Iron Brush Mural Company has been a local favorite of the Murfreesboro community. You can see their work featured on the Murfreesboro square and in many local schools, churches, and businesses. This year, they decided they wanted to give back to the local community that supports them so much. They opened up nominations to give back a free mural to a deserving nonprofit, family, or business. After reviewing over 20 nominations, local hunger relief organization Feed America First was
chosen.
“It was such a tough decision, but we wanted the donated mural to go to a good cause and reach a lot of people in our community. We also wanted to be able to create a fun design that would bring joy to those who saw it. After talking with Feed America First and learning about their mission, about all of the volunteers that come in their warehouse each month, and that they were open to giving us full creative freedom, we knew that their warehouse walls were the perfect canvas for our Giveback Mural!” they said. “It was so wonderful
working with the team at Feed America and seeing their volunteers in action moving and sorting food while we were painting. We hope the mural encourages the volunteers who give of their time every week and that it helps spread awareness of the great work that Feed America First is doing to help neighbors in need.”
The Feed America First staff and board will be present at this event to invite the community to learn more and get involved in their hunger relief efforts. The Iron Brush Mural Company will be present as well to answer any questions the community may have about their work.
