Puckettâs Gro. & Restaurant, located on the square in downtown Murfreesboro, has rolled out several new offers geared toward students at Middle Tennessee State University, whose campus is just two miles from the A. Marshall Family Foods concept.
Known across middle Tennessee for its authentic Southern flavors, slow-smoked pulled pork and down-home hospitality, Puckettâs established a live music program at its first location in Leiperâs Fork, Tenn. nearly twenty years ago. Since then, many of the areaâs most talented singers and songwriters have performed on the Puckettâs stages, and the restaurants are continually seeking to spotlight upcoming, local artists.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 6 , Puckettâs in Murfreesboro will host MTSU Music Mondays , offering MTSU students an opportunity to âsing for their supperâ on the Puckettâs stage on the first Monday of every month. Aspiring artists who are enrolled in music programs at the university are encouraged to sign up for a slot by emailing Puckettâs music booking team at [email protected] with a brief bio and music samples.
Puckettâs in Murfreesboro has also begun offering a special deal for MTSU students on evenings with live music, which often include a cover charge. The cover will be waived for students who present a current MTSU ID card to their server. To see a calendar of upcoming shows, go to www.puckettsgro.com/murfreesboro/events .
The restaurant has introduced a special offer on food as well, dubbed Two for Tuesdays , where diners can get two barbecue sandwiches with fries for just $13.99 . Customers can choose from Puckettâs slow-smoked pulled pork, brisket or chicken for their sandwich, with the opportunity to add a Puckettâs brew for $3, all day on Tuesdays.
These new offerings follow a recent partnership between MTSU and Puckettâs Trolley, which is now serving concessions Floyd Stadium where the Blue Raiders play their home football games. The Trolley is located inside gates 3 and 4 at the stadium for all home football games and offers made-to-order Puckettâs favorites and a few signature items.
