Mt. Juliet police say a traffic stop led to the arrest of a wanted man earlier today on Golden Bear Gateway.
An officer responded quickly after a reckless driver was reported to the Emergency Communications Center. During the stop, investigators discovered the passenger, a 27-year-old man from Smyrna, was wanted in Smyrna for aggravated assault with a weapon and in Rutherford County for unlawful possession of a weapon.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Police said the quick response and teamwork helped ensure the safety of the community.
