As the holiday season begins, the second annual Winterfest at Fountains at Gateway brings outdoor ice skating and holiday activities to Fountains Plaza, announced developer Scott Graby, president of Hearthstone Properties.
Winterfest features one of the few outdoor ice skating rinks in the Nashville-Murfreesboro-Franklin area. The festival offers ice skating for all ages in addition to concerts, themed skate nights, Christmas caroling and pictures with Santa. Festive lights and holiday decorations adorn the central plaza to create a magical experience for all ages.
Winterfest opened November 17 and continues through January 21. Special events include an Exhibition Skate by the Scott Hamilton Club, November 30; pictures with Santa, December 1; and Ball Brothers Concert, December 6.
“We were thrilled to open Rutherford County’s first outdoor ice skating rink last year and welcomed more than 15,000 people to the inaugural Winterfest ,” said Graby. “Requests to stay open beyond the New Year holiday led us to extend Winterfest to January 21, for a total of more than nine weeks this season. We are grateful to the Murfreesboro community for its support of this annual festival.”

About Fountains at Gateway
Fountains at Gateway is a 31-acre, Class A mixed-use development that was created to serve three distinct purposes – as a corporate office campus, upscale dining and retail district, and event and entertainment venue.
