Poke Fun, a Hawaiian restaurant, opened at the end of September at 577 N. Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro.

If you’re curious about what this new restaurant has to offer, here’s some things to know.

What is Poke?
Poke is diced raw fish served as either an appetizer or as a main course and is one of the main dishes of Native Hawaiin cusine. As a fan of a variety cuisine and a 10-year restaurant veteran, Poke Fun owner Jian Dong thought poke would a great item to bring to Murfreesboro.

“I was really impressed  the first time I had poke. It was so neat looking and had a flavorful taste. I also really like the Murfreesboro area, and I was surprised it does not have a poke place. I thought I need to bring this here and share with everybody,” said Dong.

Poke Fun Menu
The menu features poke bowls. Their signature bowl is the volcano bowl which includes ahi tuna, salmon, avocado, cucumber, jalapeno, edamame, green onion, spicy mango, sriracha chili, ginger, wasabi, tempura flakess and masago.

What if I don’t eat raw fish? Or don’t eat fish at all?

No worries. They offer a veggies lover bowl, plus countless options if you build your own bowl.
