Recently, a national storage company expanded its presence here in Middle Tennessee.

US Storage Centers has locations all across the country, but more than anything they strive to be an important part and partner of the local communities where they have their locations. They provide self-storage, which is a large growing industry especially as millennials continue to opt for location and convenience in choosing where they live over square-footage.

They have new locations in Brentwood and Nashville. They also have two existing locations in Murfreesboro, one on 1323 NW Broad Street and another at 136 River Rock Blvd.

People might think of self-storage centers as all pretty much the same, but there is actually a whole world of different kinds and uses and specialities

Sandy Nerio, who oversees the local locations, talked about the Broad Street location.

“This location is popular for residential use,” Nerio said. “It is one story, and has a good mix of climate-controlled units and drive-up units as well as plentiful parking.”

Another customer-friendly feature, Nerio said, are their expanded hours.

The Broad Street location hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., 365 days a year, which are longer hours than average in the industry, she said.

“You can find us online or call or just show up,” she said. “If you call in, we have a promotion which is one month free.  You can call and set up a tour, and see what we offer.”

‘So come out for a tour, or give us a call.”

Their number is 615-617-5491.

About U.S. Storage Centers

U.S. Storage Centers started in California more than 30 years ago by Barry Hoeven, their mission since then has been in delivering convenient and affordable self-storage solutions to thousands of individuals and businesses across the country, from California to New York.

“We do everything we can to not just operate in a community but to be a part of it,” Troy Duncan, who oversees the region including Tennessee for US Storage, said. “We are very excited to be in the Nashville area, and would love for people to come stop by and get to know us.”

“Our fully integrated platform combines the best in people, processes, and technology with the goal of delivering an outstanding customer experience,” Duncan said. “Our modern facilities are clean, conveniently located, and equipped with many of today’s leading amenities such as key-code gated entrances, 24-hour video recording, climate control and a free move-in truck. While features will vary by facility, all of our facilities are staffed with courteous, knowledgeable and professionally-trained managers who are able to make decisions and are always willing to help.”

As proud as the company is about its commitment to community and providing a good service, it is equally as passionate about its charitable efforts.

Hoeven, who has since passed away, was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 1998. Upon receiving his diagnosis he discovered that rare cancers have little to no treatments available due to the lack of research and clinical trials. However, many treatments for more commonly-known cancers are often born out of research into rare types of cancer.

So Hoeven started the 501(c)(3) organization Kure It. Its mission is to provide direct funding for innovative kidney cancer and other orphan cancer research. At participating locations, US Storage Centers will match 100% of our customer’s contributions in the Round Up for Research campaign, with 100% of the raised funds directed and used for research programs at world-class institutions such as City of Hope and Cedars Sinai. With the help of our customers, USSC has raised over $300,000 to date.
