UPDATE: Both suspects have been arrested.
The Smyrna Police Department responded to the scene of an injured victim who reported being held captive and assaulted in the early morning hours of June 3, 2023.
The assault resulted in serious bodily injury to the victim who was transported by ambulance for medical care.
The suspects left the scene, stealing the victim’s belongings, to include his vehicle.
The victim’s vehicle was soon recovered but police did not locate the suspects until hours later.
Timothy Wayne Rainey and Amanda Dawn Jackson were charged with Especially Aggravated Kidnapping and Especially Aggravated Robbery.
