
Get out the costumes and grab a classic pumpkin bucket; it’s time to go out and trick-or-treat. If your neighborhood is lacking in treats or you want to share the fun with your community, here are four activities taking place in the county to celebrate Halloween.
October 25, 2025
1. Halloween in the Park
Sharp Springs Natural Area
100 Espy Drive
Smyrna, Tennessee
Hours: 3:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Admission: FREE
This family-friendly event, hosted by the Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department, will feature trick-or-treating, a costume contest, hayrides, inflatables, corn maze, community booths, food vendors, and games.

2. Goblins and Goodies at the Park
Veteran’s Memorial Park
115 Floyd Mayfield Drive
LaVergne, Tennessee
Hours: 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Admission: FREE
The annual “Goblins and Goodies at the Park” is free and includes a hike along the trail to “trick or treat” from local organizations and businesses. Participating local businesses and organizations decorate their booths with family-friendly Halloween themes and hand out candy. They often have games set up for children to play.
At Pavilion A will be a Zombie Dance, featuring family-friendly Halloween music the whole family can enjoy. A costume contest will take place at 1:30 p.m.

3. Trunk or Treat
Rutherford County Traffic Safety Task Force
Samsonite Boulevard in Front of the Driver’s License Station
Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Time: 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Cost: FREE
Looking for a safe place to Trick or Treat? Bring little ghouls and goblins up to age 12 to this Trunk or Treat. The Rutherford County Traffic Safety Task Force is hosting this drive-through Halloween event featuring police SUVs, fire engines, ambulances, and even a Tennessee Department of Transportation truck! They can’t wait to see lots of kids and their families there!

4. Trick or Treat on the Square
Murfreesboro Public Square
Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Hours: 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Admission: FREE
This is an organized trick-or-treating in Rutherford County on the Historic Murfreesboro Square, where local businesses hand out candy. Bring children in costume to explore the beautifully decorated shops, see the fun scarecrows decorated by local organizations and individuals, and gather plenty of candy and treats. This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the spirit of Halloween, connect with the community, and support local small businesses. Don’t miss the fun!
