After a two-week hiatus, the version of the Tennessee Titans that struggled with mistakes and showed an inability to be competitive returned Sunday in a 30-14 loss at Carolina.
The Titans gave up 17 second-quarter points to trail 17-0 at the half and never really challenged after that, never getting closer than 10 points to the Panthers.
The Titans lost three turnovers in the game and also had 11 penalties for 99 yards.
Tennessee, which fell to 4-5 with the loss, had a two-game winning streak snapped and lost a chance to escape the AFC South cellar in the process.
The Titans return home next week with a tough challenge on their hands as the Kansas City Chiefs come calling. Early indications are that Patrick Mahomes may be ready to return to lineup at quarterback for Kansas City.
