January 3, 2024 – Authorities have confirmed that the suspect involved in the standoff in Smyrna on Old Nashville Highway is now in custody.
The situation happened Thursday when law enforcement responded to the residence, leading to significant police activity in the area.
In connection with the operation, southbound traffic on Old Nashville Highway was temporarily diverted.
According to police, the individual exited the residence on their own accord and was promptly detained without further incident. Officials have not yet disclosed the nature of the incident or any charges the suspect may face.
