
On August 28, 2025, at approximately 11:55 p.m., La Vergne Police officers responded to the parking lot of 5001 Murfreesboro Road in reference to an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, officers detained multiple individuals and began their investigation. It was determined that the incident involved the attempted sale of a firearm, during which the suspect produced a handgun and attempted to take the firearm. Officers quickly secured the scene, recovered both firearms involved, and took the suspect into custody without further incident.
The suspect has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Assault and was transported to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office for booking. Thankfully, no one was physically injured during the incident.
La Vergne Police commends one of the victims, who was able to call 911 during the encounter, allowing officers to respond quickly and safely apprehend the suspect. Their quick thinking directly contributed to a swift resolution.
