Murfreesboro Police were dispatched today to St. Thomas for a reported gunshot victim. According to authorities, Novais Fuller, Jr. said he was at a party at University Gables apartment complex on South Rutherford Boulevard, when shots rang out. Fuller said he didn’t know which apartment or anyone at the party, but shots began to ring out, and while he was running he was shot in the foot.
According to MPD, further investigation shows that the wound is self-inflicted and the victim lied. According to MPD, the case will remain open as more facts are revealed and to see if a charge of filing a false police report is warranted.
