Siegel, Stewart’s Creek, and Murfreesboro Central all began their double elimination road to the state championship on Tuesday. Here’s the results:
Murfreesboro Central 3 Greeneville 2
Murfreesboro Central kicked off their Class AA run to the championship with a close 10th inning win against Greenville Tuesday.Central’s Touchton struck out 7 in 9.1 innings before giving way to reliever Sargent came in and struck out the last two batters.
Murfreesboro Central takes on Spring Hill. Spring Hill won 5-1 over Milan yesterday. The Game is at 12:30 in Smyrna.
Stewart’s Creek 9 Ravenwood 3
It was a hit fest for Stewart’s Creek as they beat Ravenwood in the opening round of Class AAA. Stewart’s Creek Scored 9 runs on 11 hits.
Stewart’s Creek will take on Arlington today at 12:30 at Oakland. Arlington won 5-2 against Farragut.
Summit 7 Siegel 2
Summit was a 7-2 winner over the Siegel Stars in Class AAA action. Summit scored 7 runs in the 5th thru 7th inning. A Siegel rally in the 7th came up short. The Stars face Collierville at Siegel in an elimination game at 10 a.m. this morning.
