The Smyrna Lady Bulldogs came back through the losers bracket to defeat Riverdale twice on Thursday and lay claim to the District 7-AAA softball tournament championship.
The Lady Bulldogs won 4-3 in the first game to force a second game. Smyrna then won that game 5-3 to claim the championship and the top seed in next week’s regional tournament.
