The Oakland Lady Patriots downed LaVergne in a doubleheader Monday to improve to 18-8 on the season.
The Lady :Patriots won 13-3 in the opener and then 7-1 in the nightcap against the Lady Wolverines, who fell to 4-18 for the season.
In other action involving Rutherford County area teams, Middle Tennessee Christian dropped an 8-0 decision against Community. MTCS dropped to 1-5.
