It was a rough start for two Rutherford County squads in the District 9-A softball tournament Wednesday.
The Eagleville Lady Eagles dropped a 7-2 decision against Community, having having just defeated the Viqueens two days earlier in a regular season game. Eagleville is now 7-14 for the year, and falls into the losers bracket of the tournament.
Middle Tennessee Christian also had a tough time Wednesday, falling 10-0 to Moore County in the opener of tournament for the Lady Cougars.
MTCS is now in the losers bracket as well.
