Springhouse Theatre, a 20-year-old community theatre company in Smyrna, Tennessee tied to Springhouse Worship and Arts Center, will be presenting its inaugural Gala on August 8, 2026. The fundraising evening will feature live performances, local cuisine, and the official reveal of their 2027 season. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win prizes, make donations, and purchase exclusive merchandise through a silent auction. Click for More Events
The event will occur at the Springhouse Worship and Arts Center located at 14229 Old Nashville Highway, at the corner of Old Nashville Highway and Sam Ridley Parkway. Funds raised from the event will help the organization support their community activities and keep their ticket and camp pricing low.

Originally formed as Lamplighter’s Theatre Company, they take their theatre very seriously, striving to do high quality productions that will appeal to a wide audience, while serving Christ. Their goal is that all productions are entertaining, positive, and created in a safe environment that invites all involved to have an enjoyable experience. They want everyone from directors to actors, producers to musicians, house staff to tech team, and patrons to consider Springhouse their theatre of choice.
Producing an annual season of four Main Stage shows, the company also offers off-season Black Box productions, a Youth Company for middle and high school students, and summer drama camps offering art and drama lessons taking place in June for those in grades one through 12.
The main stage is a 450-seat auditorium that hosts their primary season productions, while the 70-seat Black Box provides a place for small productions running one weekend only during the summer months. Plays presented across all genres and time periods. They have presented classic and contemporary plays and musicals, as well as some world premieres of new plays written locally.
Plays presented during the 2025 season included “The Play that Goes Wrong,” “Peter and the Starcatcher,” “Disney’s The Little Mermaid,” and “A Christmas Carol.” The current year opened with “Pride and Prejudice,” and “The Mouse Trap.” This fall they will continue the Main Stage season with the musicals “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” in September, and “Annie” in November.
Youth Company and Camps
A dedicated Youth Company has been created to train middle and high school students in acting and stagecraft, culminating in their own dedicated productions. The Youth Company season opened with “Peter Pan, Jr.” in March 2026, with “Willie Wonka, Jr.” taking place July 24 and July 25. Their season will end in October with “The Hobbit”
