Slow Start , But Big Win For MTCS

First Half Jitters

It was a game that started out defensively, but ended in a 15 point win for the MTCS Cougars. Middle Tennessee Christian took until the 2:45 mark in the first half to break open a scoreless tie when Asfaw Putty kicked a 26 yard field goal. The first half was filled with unmemorable moments as Ezell missed a FG and Cougar Quarterback Joe Peck threw an interception in the end zone.

MTCS Trio Gets Running Game Going

Almost 400 yards in rushing usually gets things done for teams. That’s exactly what the Cougars did last night. Running Back dynamic duo Kemari McGowan and Andrew McConnell had over 300 yards. Senior QB Joe Peck added over 70 more and two TDs.

Don’t Call It A Comeback

It was 7-3 to begin in the 4th quarter when all that running, and many yards in penalties against Ezell (total of 75 plus yards in penalties) , that MTCS got their groove back. 195 total yards and 27 points later and MTCS had the road win 30-15. The Cougarsget a week off and then go on the road again to face Jo Byrns.
