Siegel High School is in its second-year of architectural design classes focusing on CAD-based concepts and architectural history coursework.
Students explore the world of architecture using AutoCad, Vectorworks, Cinema 4D, and Sketchup to create portfolios with computer-generated products.
Instructor Corey McKnight brings 20 years of experience in the field to his classroom.
He has established a partnership with ACE – the Architecture Construction Engineering mentoring program – to expose his students to real-world career opportunities throughout Middle Tennessee. Several colleges including the University of Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, and the O’More School of Design at Belmont University have spoken with the architectural design classes.
Certification in REVIT software is in the works for the program offered to Siegel’s ninth through twelfth graders.
