Sheriff’s Cpl. Mark Mack received first place in the Tennessee Law Enforcement Challenge Award from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
The award for law enforcement agencies with 201-500 certified officers was presented Friday during the 30th annual Tennessee Lifesavers Conference in Murfreesboro.
Challenge Awards are based on an agency’s commitment to traffic safety efforts through policies, training, incentives and recognition of officers, public information and education, enforcement activities and effectives of efforts.
Mack compiled information for the award from several different Sheriff’s Office divisions. Mack and Sgt. David Hutsell used the information to design the format.
Fifty-six agencies submitted applications with 46 awards presented in categories based on the number of certified officers.
