WHAT: Murfreesboro is hosting its Art and Craft festival once again in the downtown square. Local artists and makers have gathered to sell some of their artwork and join the community. Everything is handmade. Come out and support the local artists displaying paintings, wood working, jewelry and so much more. Food vendors will also be there!

2. Green House Ministries Outreach Day
WHAT: Greenhouse Ministries is a local Christian based community outreach that has been growing the work they do in Murfreesboro. Join them this weekend to help out in the community and support their work. Sign-up now to do beautification projects, plant flowers, and share the love of Jesus.

3. MPRD Pub and Grub River Cleanup
WHAT: Murfreesboro Parks and Rec’s Natural Resource Crew, Mayday Brewery and Sami’s Brick Oven Pizzeria invite you to help keep our rivers clean! Join them at Cannonsburgh Trailhead for 2 hours of hard-core litter removal from Lytle Creek. Experienced boaters are welcome to bring kayaks for mid-creek and far shore litter removal efforts. Afterwards, hop on over to Mayday Brewery and enjoy one beer on the house and free pizza from Sami’s Brick Oven Pizzeria.

4. Hallowed Ground: A Lantern Tour of Stones River National Cemetery
WHAT: Join a park ranger for an hour-long walk by lantern light through Stones River National Cemetery. Visitors will get a chance to appreciate the human stories housed within the cemetery by listening to soldiers and civilians share their experiences through the letters they wrote and received during the conflict.
Reservations are required and must be made at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/hallowed-ground-a-lantern-tour-of-stones-river-national-cemetery-tickets-54411106083. Reservations will open at 10 AM on Saturday May 11, 2019. Reservations will not be taken by phone, email, FB message nor in person.
Reservations will not be taken in the visitor center nor by phone, e-mail or social media. There is a limit of four tickets per person and reservations are not transferable to another program date.
This program is not recommended for children under 10 years of age nor is it accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. Pets are not permitted.

5. Cruisin the Boro on Saturday
WHAT: The Murfreesboro Hot Rod Club is hosting a Cruise-In on Saturday nights 4-8p throughout the summer. This is their second event of the season. Events feature of course, the cars, music, door prizes with charity donation of $1, and hotdogs.
