1. Cooking with Juicy’s: Summer Sandwiches and Treats
WHAT: The new Juicy’s Wellness Cafe of Murfreesboro is hosting a cooking event where you can learn some of their secrets to making healthy food that doesn’t taste like healthy food. This hour-long session is about Summer Sandwiches and Treats!

2. United We Style: Big Hair, Big Hearts
WHAT: Tangerine Salon and Spa and KJ Kemp, in partnership with area salons, present United We Style: A Big Hair, Big Hearts elevated hair show and storytelling event spotlighting the community’s big hearts, big hair accompanied by the music inspirations of the sweetest encourager of them all, Dolly Parton.
And new this year, an exclusive beer wristband! For $15 you can enjoy unlimited pours from local craft brewers including the Mid-State Brewsters and Cedar Glade Brews.
UWS’s welcomes back 2018 Jonesborough National Story Slam winner and Grand Slam Champion of the Peabody Award winning Moth storytelling series, Mark Lamb, as it’s featured storyteller. Community leaders sharing their stories will also include emcee Kara Jill Kemp, Ronnie H Martin, Jim McCarrall, Robin Seay, Jason Scales, and Diane Cummings Turnham!
Money raised at the event will be contributed to United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties.

3. Make Music Day Community Rhythm Event
WHAT: Murfreesboro drummers, music fans and community members will gather once again in Old Fort Park on June 21, as Everybody Drum Some will host its annual Make Music Day community rhythm event tradition.
June 21 is worldwide Make Music Day, a celebration of music that started in France in 1982, which also coincides with the summer solstice. In Murfreesboro, Ross Lester, the man behind Everybody Drum Some, uses this day to encourage anyone and everyone to come out and join in a group percussion session, regardless of their experience.
The Everybody Drum Some events feature some of the widest age ranges of any musical ensemble.

4. Disney Trivia
