1. Harry Potter Trivia in Murfreesboro

WHAT: Harry Potter Trivia is coming to Murfreesboro on July 8th at 8pm Old Chicago!

Trivia is completely free to play but seats are first come, first serve so get there early to ensure you get a spot!!

The top three teams will get gift cards and no muggles are allowed in (just kidding, everyone’s welcome).

WHAT: Over the last 10 years the Duo formed by the evocative voice of Anita Camarella and eclectic fingerstyle guitar Davide Facchini has been committed to researching, analysing and working-out songs from the “Italian Swing era” of the ‘30s and ‘40s: unforgettable lyrics and music telling of typical Italian life-experiences and anecdotes of that time.

This talented couple can already look back on many years of international concerts, including prestigious festivals and exhibitions in Italy, Europe,United States and Russia.
Their latest CD “La famiglia canterina” was honored with the “LadyLake Indie Music Awards” Best Album 2013 USA.

They have performed in some of the most renowned concert halls, alongside some of the most famous artists on the international musical scene (Tommy Emmanuel, Stephen Bennett, Muriel Anderson, Frank Vignola, Carl Verheyen, and many others…).

4. Birding on Percy Priest Lake

WHAT: Join TennGreen and Blue Heron Cruises as we set sail on Percy Priest Lake. We will meet at Fate Sanders Marina at 9:30 am to hop aboard this guided excursion led by ornithologist Melinda Welton. Please bring your binoculars. Water and snacks will be provided. Event is FREE for members of TennGreen; $10 for non-members.

5. Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival

WHAT: Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival kicks off Friday. Uncle Dave Macon Days, a roots rendezvous which honors traditional American music and the career of the first superstar of the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Famer, Uncle Dave Macon. This year marks the 41st Anniversary of the annual Uncle Dave Macon Days festival starting with small beginnings which attracted only a few old-time music enthusiasts on the lawn of the Courthouse in 1978.

Throughout the festival’s national competitions is the best in authentic old-time music and dance with participants here locally, across the nation, and worldwide. family-oriented events taking place throughout the festival include: heritage activities for children, mouth-watering local concessions, a juried arts and crafts show in Matilda Macon’s Artisan Village, Dave Macon’s Marketplace, and a historic photo exhibit.
