Rutherford Weekend: 5 Things to do This Weekend

1. Family Nights at the Museum: Owl Prowl

WHAT: Bring your flashlight and the whole family for this fun family event! Join the owl prowl exploration walk with local Park Rangers, try your hand at dissecting an Owl pellet, make a craft to take home and so much more! This is sure to be a “Night at the Museum” that you don’t want to miss. Dress for cool weather as a portion of this event will be outside.

Admission is $8 for ages 2 and up.

2. Smyrna Senior Activity Center Craft Sale


WHAT: The Smyrna Senior Center seniors have gotten together and made a ton of crafts. Come take a look around and shop for all kinds of crafts and other treasures. There’s going to be home décor for the holidays and other great items. While shopping, you can enjoy goodies from the kitchen as well.

WHEN: Friday, Nov 1 and Saturday, November 2, 8am – 2pm

3. CCRC Fall Festival


WHAT: CCRC is hosting a Fall Festival this Saturday, November 2. Festivities start at 3pm in the front field of the facility. There will be hayrides, games, and roasting marshmallows from 3pm – 5pm, Trick or Treating with residents through the halls at 6pm and to finish off the night, “Casper” will be shown. Don’t forget to dress up!

4. Fiber in the Boro 2019

WHAT: This event if free and open to the public. The event will include children’s activities, animals, food and over 70 vendors.

WHEN: Saturday, November 2, 9am – 5pm

WHERE: Lane Agri-Park, 315 John R. Rice Blvd, Murfreesboro

5. Fall Kids Fest

WHAT: Rescheduled from last Saturday, this is Rutherford Parent’s Fall Fest at the Avenue. Tons of vendors and food trucks, fall activities, trick or treating, bounce houses and more. Bring the entire family out for some awesome local fun!
