2. Outdoor Skills School
WHAT: Come and sharpen your outdoor skills with Outdoor Murfreesboro. Each week they cover a new topic relating to outdoor recreation, survival, or naturalist skills. 3. Saturday Storytime at Barnes & Noble
WHAT: Every Saturday, Barns & Noble hosts Storytime in the Childrens’ department. This Saturday, children can learn how to keep yourself happy when everyone else around you is rotten, and how being happy might just be the best choice in these two stories “The Good Egg” and “The Bad Seed” from Jory John and Pete Oswald. The event is free, Plus, get a coupon from the Café for a grilled cheese sandwich with milk or juice for $4.

4. Sense and Sensibility
WHAT: Murfreesboro Center for the Arts is wrapping up their current show, Sense and Sensibility, this weekend. It’s a playful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel, which follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne. Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, with a fresh female voice, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality. Rated PG so all ages are welcome. Admission: Adult $18; Senior (60+), Student, Military $16; Child $14. Tickets can be purchased here.

5. The Gentle Barn
WHAT: Come hug the cows, give the pig’s tummy rubs, cuddle the turkeys, and enjoy a beautiful day at the Gentle Barn! Meet Worthy who was born with a leg deformity, but now lives happily with her mom Indie, and Brother Chris. Admission: Adults $20, Children $10. Tickets available online here.
