Rutherford Weekend: 5 Things to do this Weekend

1. QuiltCon

WHAT: Those familiar with the quilting hobby community knows that once there was a convention that happened every year in Nashville. The original organizers no longer make it to Nashville, but other great groups have stepped up to keep this community going. Presented by the Modern Quilt Guild, QuiltCon is the largest modern quilting show of its kind. Each year, thousands of attendees come to see over 550 modern quilts on display, including 360 juried in from MQG members around the world. The conference features four days of workshops and lectures led by leading designers and quilters, and the show floor has dozens of vendors and exhibitors for days of shopping and fun. 2. Southern Equine Expo

WHAT: The Southern Equine Expo returns to the Tennessee Miller Coliseum and continues to provide a valuable experience for equine enthusiasts. The expo features over 100 clinics and demonstrations. Colt Starting Challenge, Competitions, entertainment and shopping galore from 80 vendors, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to have fun and learn more about training and caring for your equine companion. 3. Precious Angels Kids, Baby, and Home Pop-up Sale

WHAT:One of the top consignment sales and the longest running, Precious Angels returns roughly twice a year to allow local Rutherford county to consign and buy for their children. They offer everything you would need from maternity to baby to kid and teen items. Also household items and decor. Items are gently used and priced way better than retail! 4. Family Yoga at Smyrna

WHAT: If you’re looking for something to do as a family, go to the Smyrna Public Library and enjoy yoga! Bring a towel or mat. This program is free and for all ages.

5. Puckett’s Hitmakers Show


WHAT: The Hitmakers series returns to Murfreesboro on Saturday, February 23 with a stellar lineup of #1 songwriters. This show will feature stories and songs from
