1. Naturalist-Led Wetland Hikes

WHAT: Join a naturalist to discover the bountiful diversity that abounds in Middle Tennessee. This series explores the wetlands in the area beginning this weekend at Murfree Spring Wetlands. It’s open to all ages and free.

2. Teen Game Day

WHAT: La Vergne Public Library is hosting an afternoon of crafts, video games, board games, and snacks for all teens. Come by yourself or bring a friend or two.

3. Greenway Clean-up

WHAT:  Let’s show the Greenway some love! The recent flood & storm-water runoff not only dumped tons of water onto the Greenway, but it also carried paper, plastic and other litter along with it that could end up in the Stones River, which is a main tributary to the Cumberland. You don’t need to bring a thing except yourself and a comfortable pair of shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Trash bags, litter grabbers, bug spray and gloves will be provided.

4. Out of the Vault: A Behind the Scenes Look at the Davis Women

WHAT: Celebrate Women’s History Month with this unique look behind the scenes. Guests will get a glimpse into the lives of the Davis women through the material culture they left behind. Fascinating items such as Andromedia’s hair will be brought out of the vault for this special event. Explore the rich history of the Historic Sam Davis Home and the women who lived and worked here. $20 per person. Limited seating available.

5. Spring Craft Fair

WHAT: Come on out to the spring craft fair and shop with some of the best artisans and vendors in middle Tennessee! Bring the kids and get their picture with the Easter bunny! There will be food, shopping, giveaways, and so much more! Proceeds benefiting local non-profit Tennessee Family Solutions.
