1. 36th Annual Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes

WHAT: Usher in the holiday season with an enchanting tour of historic homes and landmarks. The annual Oaklands Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes is slated for December 7, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in Murfreesboro. The tour, sponsored by Franklin Synergy Bank, will feature beautiful and historic private homes, distinctive churches, and as always, the graceful Oaklands Mansion.

In addition to the tour, Oaklands Mansion will host a Holiday Marketplace in Maney Hall. A selection of local artisans and craftspeople will feature their wares for holiday shoppers. It’s the perfect opportunity to make gift purchases for friends and family. Admission to the marketplace is included with tickets to the Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes. In addition to the marketplace, see a live nativity displayed by Southeast Baptist Church’s Bethlehem Marketplace. Be sure to stop by one of the food trucks for hot beverages and warm treats. Christmas in the Cottage Art Showcase will be hosted by the Murfreesboro Art League.

2. MTSU Winter Village

WHAT: The MTSU Winter Village includes farm animals, a photo opportunity with Santa, MTSU chocolate milk and cookies, straw maze, two crafts, Little Acres (an interactive exhibit which allows children to be a farmer for a day), and more.


Adults: $10
Children 3yrs- 12yrs: $5 or FREE with the donations of 3 non-perishable food items
Children 2yrs and under: FREE

3. 9th Annual Parade of Lights

WHAT: La Vergne’s 9th annual Parade of Lights is Saturday. The parade will start at Veteran’s Memorial Park and end at La Vergne City Hall. Santa has already told us he plans to take part in the parade and visit with kids after and take free photos. The LHS Choraliers will perform a few songs before the tree lighting at City Hall.

4. Happy Holidays with Gateway Classic Cars

WHAT: Gateway Classic Cars is celebrating the holidays with their annual holiday party. The event features music, games and family fun. Get free admission with the donation of an unwrapped toy.

5. Bradley Academy Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair


WHAT: Come shop ‘til you drop at Bradley Academy’s Inaugural Holiday Craft Fair. There will be free refreshments including a yummy hot cocoa bar. The event features lots of different vendors, so that you can find a gift for everyone on your holiday shopping list (including yourself). There will also be a photo booth to capture a beautiful memory of you and your loved ones.
