The Smyrna Lady Bulldogs ran into a buzzsaw against visiting Coffee County, falling 11-0, in the opening round of the Region 4-AAA softball tournament on Monday.

The Lady Bulldogs used three different pitchers in the game, but could not contain the Lady Raiders, who won in five innings. Smyrna finished its season 31-13.

The news was just as bad for the other District 7-AAA team in the region, as Lawrence County eliminated Riverdale with an 8-3 win against the visiting Lady Warriors. Riverdale finished the season with a 24-17 record.
