Police Report : Road rage incident leads to gun threats

Description Of Offense : Simple Assault

On 3/31/2018 Officer A responded to in reference to a road rage incident. The officer made contact with the victim who stated that while on N.W. Broad Street at Memorial Blvd and stopped at a yield sign. The reason for stopping at the yield sign, according to the victim, was that something was on his feet and pedals of his vehicle.

The victim advised that at this time a black sports bike passed him quickly, continuing on to Memorial Blvd. The victim stated they were both stopped at the red light on Memorial Blvd at Medical Center Parkway when the rider on the motorcycle began reaching inside his jacket saying ” that yield sign isn’t a stop sign, you need to learn to drive ” and ” I’ll shoot you in the face. ”

The victim stated he only explained why he had stopped to the rider who was described as a black male, wearing all black and on a dark colored sports bike with a female passenger. The victim advised the subject continued outbound on Memorial but he stopped to call police. Advice was given by the officer if this happens in the future.
