Riverdale extended its winning streak to two games with a 49-6 win over Spring Hill.
Riverdale only out-gained Spring Hill by a 280-234 margin, but Riverdale’s Jaylan Simmons scored off an interception, and the Warriors also scored off a Spring Hill fumble.
Riverdale led 42-6 at half. Quarterback Taylor Yancey was 4 of 5 passing for two touchdowns and 89 yards. Drew Smith, Simmons, Chandler Wiggins, Xaylin McKinnie and Samari Hill all scored touchdowns for the Warriors.
Hadrian Phillips scored Spring HIll’s first-half touchdown on a 36-yard run.
Raiders players and staff are still reeling from the loss of assistant coach Will Fisher, who died of a heart attack last Sunday. Fisher was 33.
