Oakland and Riverdale will play on the same field today, just not against each other. Oakland kicks off the Second Annual Middle Tennessee Football Classic at 4:00 today. The games will be played at Floyd Stadium at MTSU. Oakland takes on Jackson North at 7:00 , before that Riverdale takes on Ooltewah at 4:00.
If you are attending the games, remember: construction and traffic will be an issue. Construction continues on Middle Tennessee Blvd., so you might look for an alternate rout to the stadium. Compounding that will be that it’s move in weekend for MTSU as students return, or in most cases are getting their first look at MTSU as they move in. Weather may also be a factor by kickoff.
