Blues, Brews & Birds in the ‘Boro

August 24th saw the highly anticipated ribbon cutting at Champy’s on 1310 NW Broad St. The down south chicken joint is known for serving up their “old family recipe from Down in the Delta that is more than 40 years old” and forty’s! How can you beat that?

Of course Champy’s has much more to offer than just their “Forty’s & Fowl.” Whether you go for their hand rolled tamales or one of Champy’s several salad options, you can’t go wrong. For a look at Champy’s full menu, click HERE

Champy’s founder, Seth Champion, was in attendance for the ceremony in Murfreesboro. Champion had this to say during the event. . .

“We couldn’t be more excited about opening up our second location in Tennessee, right here in Murfreesboro. We know this will be home.”

(Seth Champion, Champy’s Founder)

“At Champy’s when you order your food, we cook it right then. There’s no heat lamps, microwaves or freezers. Everything is as fresh as possible from our chicken to our hand rolled tamales.”

When a chicken restaurant moves to the 615 you know they have to have the goods. You can’t just bring any ole’ poultry place to the fried chicken capital of the world. Once you get one taste of Champy’s you’ll know right away they belong with the big dogs. (Well, big chickens in this case)
