Identity of the person who fired several rounds into two churches and damaged the buildings from Sunday through Wednesday are sought by a Rutherford County Sheriff’s detective.
Someone fired rounds into two glass doors and a window at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 5121 Leanna Road, said Deputy Jimmy Tedder. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
Deputy Chris Beach reported someone fired six rounds into Kings Chapel Independent Missionary Baptist Church at 1151 East Jefferson Pike. The rounds damaged the doors and a public address system. Damage was set at $1,450.
Detective R. Brinkley, who is investigating, asked anyone who has information about the shootings to call him at 615-904-3045.
