Rutherford County Fire & Rescue (RCFR) officials are seeking the public’s assistance with an intentionally set fire that occurred early Saturday morning on the playground at Wilson Elementary School, located at 1545 Cut Off Road.
Crews were notified of the incident by Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigations Division. RCFR’s investigator was able to obtain surveillance footage from the school and discovered three individuals that appeared to have set the fire.
Officials are working to identify those individuals and need the public’s assistance. Callers will remain anonymous and cash rewards may be available for information leading to the arrest of persons of interest.
