MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raiders conclude their annual Florida swing Saturday as they take on Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton.

The Blue Raiders and Owls have faced off 20 times previously with Middle Tennessee holding a 16-4 advantage in the series. All 20 meetings between the schools have come under Blue Raider Head Coach Kermit Davis. MT has won nine straight against the Owls, including the last five in Boca Raton.

The Blue Raiders earned a season sweep against the Owls a season ago, winning 85-73 in Murfreesboro and 76-59 in Boca Raton.

Middle Tennessee (16-3, 6-0) remains unblemished in league play with a six-game winning streak on the line. Senior forward JaCorey Williams will make his first appearance at FAU, coming into the game leading the Raiders in scoring (18.1) and rebounding (7.3).

Fellow senior Reggie Upshaw (14.9 ppg) and junior guard Giddy Potts (14.9 ppg) help bolster the Middle Tennessee offense with the three combining to account for 65 percent of MT’s scoring.

The Owls (5-12, 1-5) are coming off of a narrow home loss to UAB in which they fought back late only to fall, 80-78, to the Blazers.

Guards Adonis Filer (10.4 ppg) and Nick Rutherford (10.1 ppg) lead FAU in scoring while center Ronald Delph stands in the Top 10 in Conference USA in field goal percentage (.568), rebounding (7.4) and blocks (1.2).

The Raiders and Owls will tip at 6:00 p.m. Saturday in FAU Arena.
