Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant will soon be serving its slow n’ low smoked barbecue dishes and other Southern favorites in east Tennessee, with the sixth outpost of the A. Marshall Hospitality restaurant slated to open in Pigeon Forge later this year.

“Pigeon Forge is an area that has been on our dream board for several years now, and we have waited patiently for the right spot,” says A. Marshall Hospitality CEO Andy Marshall. “The location of the space that will become home to Puckett’s is appealing due to its draw for locals and visitors alike – a natural fit for our brand and a continuation of the community-minded atmosphere we have established at our other restaurants.”

The 7,700 square-foot building at 2480 Parkway is located next door to the Incredible Christmas Place – deemed the South’s largest Christmas store – and across the parkway from The Inn at Christmas Place. The exterior of the restaurant’s building mirrors the design of the Bavarian Village-style buildings unique to the area, while the interior will carry on the warm, welcoming and down-home Southern charm for which Puckett’s is known.

Marshall, a board member for the Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association that represents the state’s second-largest industry, cites community as the primary draw for the new location of his cornerstone brand. Pigeon Forge is one of the state’s premier destinations for tourists from around the globe.

“Sevier County has strong Southern roots, and I have developed a personal fondness for the region through my family and business-related travels,” Marshall said. “We are thrilled to extend our roots into this area and offer an authentic dining experience that is signature to both our brand and to Tennessee.”

Pigeon Forge Mayor David Wear, who also serves as vice president of operations at the landmark attraction The Island, says Puckett’s is the kind of restaurant he is glad to welcome to the community.

“A. Marshall Hospitality has demonstrated itself to be a leader in the foodservice industry by building on a strong foundation of great people who know how to treat customers well in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere,” Wear says. “These qualities make Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant an excellent fit for Pigeon Forge, and we’re pleased to become home to their sixth location.”

The Pigeon Forge location will feature everything Puckett’s fans have come to expect, including a full menu of barbecue smoked slow ‘n’ low over cherry wood with home-cooked sides, legendary burgers and creative breakfast dishes, along with regular performances by local singers and songwriters. The restaurant joins a budding portfolio of other eateries owned and operated by A. Marshall Hospitality, including Puckett’s locations in Franklin, Nashville, Columbia, Chattanooga and Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Puckett’s Boat House and Scout’s Pub, both in Franklin, Tenn.; and Deacon’s New South in downtown Nashville.

A Grand Opening for Puckett’s Pigeon Forge is tentatively slated for late summer or early fall.
