Description Of Offense : Fraud
On 1/25/2018 at approximately 1000 hours a call came in about fraud. The victim stated on 1/17/2018 she was on Apartment.com and located a possible rental house at 1101 Laurel Street in Nashville, TN.
The victim then began making contact with the alleged owner ” Alexander Richardson ” through the email [ EMAIL OMITTED ]. After multiple emails, the victim came to an agreement to place a deposit on the house. She was then instructed by the Alexander subject to use Bitcoin to make the deposit. Therefore on 1/24/2018 the victim set up an account with Bitcoin and put $500.00 in the account using a Bitcoin ATM.
The victim then sent ” Alexander ” a screenshot of the Bitcoin account. After completing the transaction the victim attempted multiple times to contact Alexander but he has ceased contact with her. ” Alexander ” also utilized AirBnB to complete this fraud.
